This is how Freestyle Motocross World Champion Luc Ackermann keeps everything in view

"Go big or go home" is the motto of Luc Ackermann. And the 22-year-old motocross rider lives it too. Because without his ambition, a lot of adrenalin and one hundred percent commitment he would probably never have reached the top. The Thuringian is not only one of the fixed stars in the "NIGHT of the JUMPS" series, he also crowned himself the youngest freestyle motocross world champion of all time last December.

Already as a seven-year-old Ackermann drove motocross for the first time. Only a short time later he was gripped by the passion for freestyle. First successes were not long in coming. After all, the early World Championship title is not the only record he has set in his career to date: At twelve he was the youngest motocross rider to do a backflip. At 14, he was the first to jump over nine meters high. And at 19, he became the youngest motorcycle athlete in the world to do a double backflip.

With tricks like 360 Nac Nac, Ruler Flip or Clicker Superflip he jumped to the world championship title in Sofia last December. "I'm just overjoyed. I've been dreaming of the World Championship title for so long and I've worked hard for it," said Ackermann after his triumph. His constant companion: the new Red Bull SPECT Eyewear MX glasses.
